Complete Detector Rod Assembly

Having problems detecting strikes. standing pins, or out of range pins? The detector rod could be defective or out of adjustment.

Is poos adjustment causing the pin setter to mis-detect strikes? The rod is too high. That why the scissors close on phantom pins and new pins aren’t set.
Mis-detecting standing pins? The rod is too low. That’s why the scissors don’t close and the deck sets new pins.
Mis-detecting out-of-range pins? The rod is too high if the pinsetter sweeps the out-of-range pins. The rod is low if the pinsetter stops at 90* without and out-of-range pin.
A defective rod can cause blinding and throw the rod out of time. (Replacement Rod Only:21-100017-000).
Broken or missing pins will allow the rod to collapse too far, throwing the detector out of adjustment.

*Pins sold in convenient packages of 20. Bottom pin (11-360257-000) of the pins that straddle the stop bracket (11-360258-001). *Worn or broken springs may make it difficult to get the rod in adjustment or to keep is there. To replace the spring, order 12-100167-000.

Tip: Remember to check for worn deck pads before starting to adjust the detector.
